Cookie Policy
Pursuant to the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR, UK), the EU ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC (as amended), and the GDPR / UK GDPR.
General Principle
Joute uses a deliberately small number of cookies. No advertising tracking cookies, no behavioural profiling cookies, no sale of cookie data to advertising networks.
Analytics cookies are only deposited after your explicit consent has been collected. Strictly necessary cookies are deposited without prior consent (legal basis: legitimate interest / functional necessity).

No Advertising Cookies
Joute does not place advertising cookies (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads Remarketing, TikTok Pixel, etc.). Affiliate links on the site are trackable by partner platforms via their own cookies, deposited on their domains: Joute does not control these and receives no personal data in return, only an aggregated commission.
Consent Management
On your first visit to Joute, a consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. Your choice is stored for 12 months in the joute-consent cookie. You may change your choice at any time.
If you decline analytics cookies, only functional cookies (consent, language) are set. The site remains fully functional.
Withdraw or change your consent: delete the joute-consent cookie via your browser settings, or write to hello@joute.io.
Browser Controls
You can block or delete cookies directly in your browser settings:

You can disable Google Analytics across all websites using the official Google browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
