What is Comet?
Comet is Perplexity AI's web browser, built to integrate Perplexity's search and assistance capabilities directly into the browsing experience. Rather than using Perplexity as a separate tab, Comet aims to make AI native in the browser: semantic search directly in the URL bar, contextual assistance on any page, automated in-browser actions. The product was in early access at time of writing. The concept is solid and Perplexity's brand makes it a launch worth watching.
